MovieBloc 2025 Q3 Roadmap Recap
Hello,
This is the MovieBloc Team.
In Q3 2025, MovieBloc reached an important milestone in its journey toward transitioning the independent film ecosystem into Web3. This quarter, we issued our first limited NFT tickets, expanded festival collaborations, and supported young filmmakers with global screenings. These achievements brought MovieBloc’s RWA (Real-World Asset) vision closer to reality, creating new ways for audiences to support, participate in, and invest in independent cinema.
Key Achievements in Q3 2025
SIWFF × MovieBloc Limited NFT Issuance
To commemorate the 27th Seoul International Women’s Film Festival (SIWFF), MovieBloc issued a special limited NFT — only 27 editions. Each NFT granted holders exclusive access to festival screenings while symbolizing sponsorship of female creators and independent cinema.
The NFT was more than a collectible: it became a cultural asset permanently preserved on blockchain, while offering holders a meaningful way to participate in the independent film ecosystem. With thousands of film festivals around the world, many cinephiles face physical, financial, and time barriers to participation. MovieBloc’s NFT model breaks down these walls through Web3, allowing audiences worldwide to experience and support film festivals without borders.

Global Online Co-Screening with GFSF
MovieBloc collaborated with the Gyeonggi Film School Festival (GFSF) to stream student films simultaneously to global audiences. This initiative allowed university and high school students — aspiring filmmakers of the next generation — to present their works on a global stage for the very first time. It broadened the reach of film education and served as a stepping stone for discovering future independent creators.
Looking ahead, MovieBloc and GFSF will explore the global expansion of the K-Film Festival, while developing Web3-based “Film Festival Support Passes” that enable cinephiles worldwide to directly sponsor the festivals and works they most want to see. Through this, we aim to help independent films achieve true independence.

AI Creator Community Support — Contest Winner Interviews
Out of the 500+ films submitted to the 2025 MBL Contest, more than 50 were produced using AI-based tools. To capture this growing trend, MovieBloc conducted interviews with contest winners, documenting their creative methods and experiences with AI.
Directors reported using a diverse mix of tools such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, Runway, Luma AI, Pixverse, Suno AI, along with editing software like Premiere Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve. Their workflows combined AI-driven processes with traditional filmmaking: brainstorming topics and designing prompts, creating style frames, generating short sequences, designing AI-based sound, and refining the final cut in post-production.
The directors also emphasized their unique artistic approaches — reducing the uncanny feel of AI imagery, incorporating the warmth of picture-book aesthetics, or pursuing cinematic realism with emotionally expressive AI characters. Through these interviews, MovieBloc highlighted the diversity of AI-driven filmmaking and reinforced its commitment to supporting the AI creator community.

Outlook for Q4 2025
In Q4, MovieBloc will advance to the next stage of its RWA model by initiating the tokenization and sale of film IPs. At the same time, we will introduce personalized services, build automated online festival solutions, and expand partnerships with global festivals to broaden Web3 participation.
The achievements of Q3 demonstrated how NFTs and the RWA model can redefine the way film festivals are experienced, sponsored, and accessed. MovieBloc remains committed to fully delivering on the Q4 roadmap and continuing to build a future where independent films and global audiences grow together.
Thank you.
